Enterprises That
Fund a Mission.

The project aims to promote local entrepreneurship, create jobs, and Enhance economic growth by providing infrastructure and business support tailored to the industries.

Our Enterprises

Built to Last. Designed to Give.

When Rain Edge International Centre was established, it became clear early on that relying solely on donations was not a sustainable foundation for long-term child care and community development. In response, the Hakika Industrial Park was born — a deliberate strategy to build income-generating enterprises directly on the compound that would fund the mission from within.

Each enterprise was chosen not just for its revenue potential, but for its direct relevance to the community around us. They meet real, everyday needs — clean water, milled grain, baked goods, skilled fabrication, and fresh produce — while employing local community members and channelling every surplus back into our child care, education, and community programmes.

Today, Hakika Industrial Park is one of the things that makes Rain Edge International Centre truly self-sustaining by design. It is not a side project — it is central to how we ensure that no child's future is left dependent on the next donation cycle.

Pure Water Packaging —
Clean Water for All

Access to safe drinking water is not a luxury — it is a right. Our water packaging plant was established in 2015 to address a critical gap in our community, where waterborne illness rates were among the highest in the district.

Today, our facility produces and distributes affordable, certified packaged drinking water to homes, schools, hospitals, and businesses across the region — while generating consistent revenue that funds our children's programs.

Key Clients Hospitals, secondary schools, offices, local market distributors and the wider community.
Certification Certified by the Food Safety Authority. Regular water quality testing conducted.
Local Empowerment We prioritise hiring from the surrounding community, creating jobs and equipping residents with valuable skills and experience.
Health Impact Waterborne illness in our distribution area has reduced significantly since 2015.
Sustainable Impact Income from this enterprise strengthens the long-term sustainability of Rain Edge International and its life-changing programmes.

Bakery —
Fresh Every Morning

Our community bakery was born from a simple idea: the same skills we teach our youth in vocational training should produce real products for real people. Established in 2019, the bakery now produces fresh bread, rolls, pastries, and cakes every morning before sunrise.

Products are sold to local schools for their feeding programmes, market vendors, hospitals, and directly to community members — making affordable, fresh-baked goods accessible to everyone in the area.

Daily Production Over 500 loaves and 200 pastry units baked fresh every morning from 4am.
School Supply Official bread supplier to local schools, including Rain Edge Primary and Secondary.
Employment Over 10 full-time staff — all from the local community.
Sustainable Impact Income from this enterprise strengthens the long-term sustainability of Rain Edge International and its life-changing programmes.

Rain Edge farm and agricultural land
Enterprise 03

Agriculture & Farming —
Growing What We Need

Our farm serves a dual purpose: it significantly reduces the food costs of the home and schools, and it provides a living classroom for children and vocational trainees who are learning sustainable agricultural practices.

We cultivate a diverse range of crops across forty acres of land, including vegetables, root crops, and fruit trees. Surplus produce is sold to local markets — adding an additional revenue stream to our enterprise portfolio.

Crops Grown Maize, cassava, yam, plantain, tomatoes, peppers, leafy vegetables, and fruit trees.
Feeds the Home Supplies up to 60% of the vegetables and root crops consumed at the home and schools.
Market Sales Surplus produce sold at local markets, generating additional income for programs.
Education Tool Children learn composting, planting, irrigation, and harvesting as part of their curriculum.
Expansion Plans Poultry farming and fish ponds are planned to further increase food self-sufficiency.

Expanding Ventures —
Building Tomorrow's Income

As our existing enterprises mature and become more profitable, we are investing in the next generation of social enterprises. Our expansion strategy is guided by three principles: community need, youth employment, and long-term financial sustainability for our programs.

Partner Opportunity We are actively seeking corporate partners and investors to co-fund these ventures in exchange for branding, CSR recognition, or social return agreements.
